Mobile R&D and future design-system strategy
01 / Problem

Explore mobile UX and the patterns that could support it.

Project UME was mobile R&D. My contribution covered mobile UX, app icons, an illustration library and future design-system strategy.

Explore the experience and the language that could support it.A mobile layout is considered together with its visual language and reusable patterns.

02 / What exists today

An R&D effort alongside the mobile product work.

The source records the areas I worked on, but it does not retain a detailed baseline workflow or a complete set of original interface screens.

The surviving record describes several connected areas of R&D.Mobile exploration, icon work and illustration are shown as documented parts of the contribution.
The surviving record describes several connected areas of R&D.
03 / What’s wrong

One screen cannot establish a shared design language.

Mobile layouts, icons and illustrations need to work together. That is the design concern this case explains; the archive does not document a particular incident or search workflow.

A single layout cannot establish a shared design language. One isolated mobile layout is contrasted with the broader set of patterns needed for a product family.
A single layout cannot establish a shared design language.
04 / What I explored

Explore the experience and its supporting language together.

I contributed to the mobile UX as well as icons and an illustration library, connecting product exploration with future design-system strategy. A sequence of rejected concepts is not available.

Develop the product patterns and visual language together.Layout, icon and illustration studies show the documented areas of exploration, not historical rejected screens.

05 / Low-fi architecture

Connect product work with reusable patterns.

This explanatory diagram is grounded in the documented scope. It is not presented as an original system architecture delivered during the project.

System flowHow the pieces connect
Inputs
  • Mobile UX exploration

The interaction
  1. 01Explore hierarchy
  2. 02Compare layout patterns
  3. 03Connect reusable elements

06 / Wireframes

Make the proposed relationships easier to read.

These new layout studies explain how shared mobile patterns could work. They are portfolio reconstructions, not recovered historical wireframes.

Exploratory layout study reconstructed from the documented mobile UX and visual-system scope; not an original or shipped screen.

07 / Solution

Mobile UX, icons and illustration were the contribution.

The documented contribution spans mobile UX and its visual language.A schematic mobile surface is accompanied by icon and illustration work; it is an explanatory drawing, not original product UI.

Those are the areas supported by the source record. Original project imagery can be added to this gallery when available.

08 / Research

The R&D scope is documented; study findings are not.

The available material does not include a participant study, test method or measured findings. The reconstructions illustrate the work’s scope and do not supply that missing evidence.

The scope is documented; participant findings are not available. The documented R&D scope is distinguished from a participant study that is not present in the archive.

09 / Outcome

An exploration that informed future design-system work.

The source supports my mobile R&D and design-language contributions. It does not establish a shipped product or a measured improvement for this project.

Product exploration informed the future design-system direction.Mobile and visual-language contributions connect to future design-system work without asserting a shipped product.
